USA Hockey’s Learn to Skate program introduces beginners to essential skating skills like balance, stride, and edge control. It’s a fun, structured way to build confidence on the ice while learning how to wear gear and handle a stick. This foundation sets the stage for future hockey development.
Learn to Play builds on skating fundamentals by teaching core hockey skills such as passing, shooting, and puck control. Through small-area games and team-based activities, players develop game awareness and prepare for organized hockey. The focus is on skill growth, teamwork, and having fun.
Need Hockey Gear?
The Warhawks have partnered with Rink Rat Rentals who offer high-quality rental equipment for youth hockey players aged 3-12, providing an affordable alternative to buying new gear. This partnership ensures that families have access to all the gear they need, whether your child is a first-year skater or already a few seasons in.
The process is simple: just visit www.rinkratrentals.com, select the gear you need, choose your rental period, and have it delivered right to your door.
