Welcome to the 2020-21 Hockey Season!
We are excited to provide information regarding our program and teams for the upcoming season. In the past few weeks we have surveyed our membership to get input on what our families would like to see for the upcoming season. As with most everything, our plans are fluid and we are prepared to adjust our programming accordingly.
As we begin to open up publicly please take comfort in the fact that the Warhawks Board of Directors and the Hockey Staff, have been working together with all due intensity to get back to hockey. Our efforts in conjunction with USA Hockey, the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois(AHAI) and the Illinois Department of Public Health(IDPH) began prior to the mandated shutdown and continues today, and will continue until we are back to normal. We relentlessly pursue our strongest effort to provide a quality program for our players and families in the tradition of Warhawks hockey.
The health and safety of our athletes, staff, and families remain our highest priority. Below, you will find a summary of actions we are taking to ensure we are lowering COVID-19 risk as much as possible while also allowing our athletes to play. We are:
While we are taking the best precautions to safely return to on-ice activity please remain vigilant in this fluid situation. In our effort to battle this unfortunate situation we must and shall follow all guidelines and demands of USA hockey. USA hockey provides in-depth information that filters through AHAI and to our organization. The Warhawks organization is required to follow these mandates. All this information can be found on the USA hockey website, https://www.usahockey.com/, and is a great source of information for parents and players.
For the 2020-21 season we expect to achieve one of our goals when we started the Warhawks three years ago: to provide an all-girls program that will provide an opportunity to girls of all ages to play this great game. With the addition of a U-19 team this season we will now offer teams from U8 through U19 age level.
We are fortunate to have a staff of coaches that have dedicated their careers to the advancement of girls hockey in Illinois. Our team of coaches, led by our Hockey Director Bill Brush and including Mike Vasilevich, Andy Doti, and Ryan Maguire all have daughters active in the game at all levels including NCAA.
For information on our teams by age level , please go to the Team page tab above.
Thank you for your interest in our program, and Go Warhawks!

Congratulations for our U10, U15 and U16 team for their state tournament turnout. A great season by all three teams capped off with 1st Championship (U16) & 2nd place finishes (U10 & U15)
Congratulations to former Warhawks Courtney Schumacher and Margot Norehad on winning the AHAI Tier 1 Girls U16 State Championship in exciting fashion.
After losing the first game in the best of three championship to the Chicago Young Americans 3-2 in overtime, the Mission came back in Game Two winning 5-4 in double overtime, setting the stage for a deciding Game 3. The game ended 1-1 which meant another overtime. After four full overtime periods, and 3+ hours of hockey, Margot's goal decided the game and crowned the Mission State Champions.
We are proud of both of you!
